According to information obtained by Rainbowradioonline.com, thirteen (13) fishermen have gone missing.
The 13 fishermen were reported missing after their boats capsized in Volta Lake.
The Ada East District NADMO Coordinator, Ebenezer Teye Kisseh Nartey, who confirmed the incident, said two fishing boats carrying a total of 23 fishermen capsized in the estuary while attempting to join the Volta River.
He reported that all ten fishermen in one of the boats were retrieved alive, while the 13 other fishermen in the second boat were still missing.
He added that his organization, in partnership with the Ghana Navy, has launched a search and rescue mission.
