A security guard in the Ashanti region has been arrested for allegedly killing a businesswoman, just a month after his employment began.
The tragic incident has left the communities of Ampeyoo and Ampabame, both suburbs of Kumasi in the Ashanti region, in a state of shock and grief.
The businesswoman, Afua Ahenkan, also known as Princess Afua, suffered multiple stab wounds from a young man she hired through an agency a month ago.
The deceased was attacked while she was on a phone call, raising suspicions among the other person on the line who responded to her home after repeated, unanswered calls.
A suspect stole Ahenkan’s car, money, and personal belongings, prompting the Ashanti Central Regional Police Command to investigate.
A manhunt was launched, and Afua’s body was taken to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, the bereaved family is requesting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
