A fire has destroyed several shops at CMB, behind Kantamanto in Accra.
The outbreak destroyed products worth millions of Ghana cedis.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire began around 5:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) swiftly rushed to the incident, but the fire had already spread to many shops by the time they arrived.
ADO1 Alex Nartey, a GNFS Public Relations officer, said various flammable materials were discovered at the scene of the incident.
He said several businesses had been damaged by the time the fire was extinguished.
Meanwhile, market participants expressed their dissatisfaction and irritation with the occurrence.
As a result, they have sought assistance.
