I’m contesting to bring brighter change to GIMPA – Aspiring SRC Prez

An aspiring Student Representative Council President at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Nana Kofi Kyeremateng has promised to bring brighter change in the school.

The final year Public Administration student seeks to initiate what he had described as a comprehensive set of policies that revolve around students’ welfare and their academic journey.

Among other things, the aspiring president wants to promote gender balance by running a 50/50 gender SRC administration.

He has also promised to outdoor the GIMPA Job Factory, an innovative initiative to bridge the gap between academia and real-world job opportunities.

To help students who are in financial need, the aspirant wants to roll out the SRC Loan and Welfare Scheme.

The initiative aims at advocating for a safety net for students in need.

Nana Kofi Kyeremanteng described himself as someone who “possesses a unique blend of skills, including student leadership, entrepreneurship, project management, and product design. With this impressive skill set, he aspires to lead the GIMPA student community effectively.

Nana Kofi Frimpong Kyeremanteng: Advocating for a Brighter GIMPA

In the bustling corridors of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a dedicated and experienced leader is stepping forward to bring about positive change. Meet Nana Kofi Frimpong Kyeremanteng, a final-year Public Administration student in the evening session, who is vying for the prestigious position of SRC President.

Champion of Student Interests

Nana Kofi’s journey in student advocacy began early in his academic career. He recognized the importance of students receiving true value for their hard-earned fees. His commitment to this cause propelled him into various leadership roles within GIMPA’s student governance structure.

A Record of Achievements and Experience

Nana Kofi’s journey is marked by a series of accomplishments. He has served as a General Assembly member, Deputy Chairman of the Social and Planning Committee, and most recently, as the Chairperson of the Projects and Assets Committee. In this role, he initiated the highly acclaimed Onuapa School Scheme, designed to support bright but financially disadvantaged students. Additionally, Nana Kofi initiated the refurbishment of deteriorated learning benches across all faculties on the GIMPA campus and initiated the GIMPA Media platform to foster better communication between students, the SRC, and the management.
Nana Kofi possesses a profound understanding of the political and administrative landscape of GIMPA, making him a well-equipped candidate for the SRC Presidency.

Review of the Auto Progression System Nana Kofi aims to revisit the recent introduction of the Auto Progression System, advocating for a more balanced approach that considers students’ needs.

Course Registration Deadlines and Tuition Fees
In light of the challenging economic climate, Nana Kofi seeks to address the unrealistic course registration deadlines and advocate for appropriate tuition fee increments.

Gender Balance in SRC
He promises to promote gender balance by running a 50/50 gender SRC administration.

GIMPA Job Factory An innovative initiative to bridge the gap between academia and real-world job opportunities.
