Two people have been arrested in connection with the alleged rape and murder of an 18-year-old apprentice in Anwiankwanta, Bekwai Municipality, Ashanti Region.
Bekwai’s Municipal Chief Executive, Kwaku Kyei Baffour, who disclosed this to journalists, said that these two individuals had reportedly interacted with the victim shortly before she was found dead,
“They can run, but they cannot hide,” he said while expressing optimism that the Police will bring the offenders to book.
The 18-year-old apprentice was allegedly murdered in Anwiankwanta, in the Ashanti region.
The deceased, according to the police, was reportedly raped.
According to residents, the 18-year-old apprentice was picked up by individuals in a vehicle who offered to drop her off at her home.
However, she did not get home as expected.
A search party went in search of the apprentice, only for her lifeless body to be found in an uncompleted building just a few metres from her residence.
Details emerging indicate that she was partially unclothed when the lifeless body was discovered.
