The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reacted to the decision by Alan Kyerematan to resign from the party and contest in the 2024 presidential election as an independent candidate.
The leadership of the party described the incident as unfortunate.
A statement issued by the party and signed by General Secretary Justin Frimping Kodua asked members of the party to remain calm.
It said the party will respond to the issues the former trade minister has raised tomorrow Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
“The Party leadership is by this medium, urging the rank and file of our great Party to remain calm and await an official address by the Party to Mr. Kyerematen’s resignation at 14:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Party headquarters.”
