Residents and commercial drivers in Kasoa were joined by journalists to protest the road’s appalling condition.
Residents, drivers, and journalists who are dissatisfied with the road in the area have complained that it is horrible and is impacting their livelihoods.

They demonstrators marched through the several communities where the road was awful, waving placards with various inscriptions and wearing red bands, demanding that officials fix the issues they had raised.

They have also set the administration a three-week deadline to restore the road or face their fury.
Some of them reportedly threatened to curse the president and his vice president if they did not address their issues.

“Politicians continue to deceive us.” We will start cursing our political leaders if we have to. We don’t mind if they perish. “They have lied to us for far too long, and we can no longer allow them to deceive us,” a demonstrator stated.
“The roads are deplorable; we’ve been complaining about them for far too long,” stated another. I want them to get ready for another protest on the day the president visits this area. “On that day, we should demonstrate and block the road so that the president and his people know we are serious,” another person suggested.

Several others reported that due to the poor condition of the road, a twenty-minute ride took them three hours.
Aside from these worries, the locals stated that when it rains, the road floods, causing them inconvenience.
