A Kia truck carrying beer slammed into the New Patriotic Party (NPP) office at Oko Dan in the Greater Accra Region’s La township.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the incident resulted in the death of one person.
The incident happened on October 24, 2023.
Following the event, one other individual was badly injured.
According to details emerging, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle owing to a brake pad problem, resulting in the tragic occurrence.
Fire service and police officers were deployed at the scene to attend to the situation.
A member of the Public Relations Department of the Ghana National Fire Service, ADO1 Alex Nartey, speaking on the matter said, “Our control room received a call about an accident on the Labadi station road. We quickly came and upon arrival, they realized that they had to call their rescue team to augment the process. It was a truck full of beer that had run through the NPP office at Labadi killing one person in the process and critically injuring another.”
“Our men were able to help in rescuing the casualties involved. As of now, the operation has been successful. My condolences to the family of the bereaved. We will advise people to be very cautious to avoid such incidents during the festive season,” ADO1 Alex Nartey added.
