The Omanhene of Lower Axim, Nsein traditional council Awulea Agyefi Kwame, has described the four more for Nana as a disaster for the Western region, seeing how deplorable the western region roads are.
The traditional ruler does not need to seek the services of a soothsayer or a spiritualist before knowing that this government has failed to deliver on its promises.
He stated that all ten paramount chiefs from the Western region met with the president on numerous occasions about their deplorable roads, but nothing was done because the president had no respect for Western region chiefs.
”You don’t need to consult a spiritualist or a mallam to know that Akufp-Addo and Dr. Bawumia’s governments have failed to act on their campaign promises. You don’t need a spiritualist to tell you that this government has no regard for the Western region. Following elections, we are ignored in everything the government does, particularly on the roads.
Since the four more for Nana Addo mantra, the region has been ignored whenever a budget is read. Anyone who is honest will admit that our roads are in poor condition. Our roads are worse under the NPP government than under any other government.
The government’s failure on the Western Region’s behalf; simply put, four more Nana has been a disaster in the Western Region. I am claiming that the Western Region’s voice is not being heard in Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia’s government. If we don’t speak up as chiefs, our roads will continue to deteriorate.”
He also slammed regional minister Hon. Kobina Okyere Darko Mensah, accusing him of repeating one speech whenever they came to him to complain about their bad roads.
He claimed that ”the minister has developed a habit of repeating his speech whenever we go to him to complain about our deteriorating roads”.
