Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister of Communications, has voiced confidence that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be elected as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate with more than 80% of the vote.
According to the lawyer and MP, the second gentleman of the land is not only skilled but also dedicated, and he is the only one who can break the 8-year jinx.
Even as Vice President, Dr. Bawumia, according to the Minister, has spearheaded countless creative initiatives and ideas that have helped improve the economy.
He is a man who is dedicated, trustworthy, credible, knowledgeable, and capable, according to her.
According to the human rights activist, Dr. Bawumia is also humble, remaining calm even in the face of vilification and abuse.
Speaking to Rainbow Radio’s Boshyeba, the Minister stated that the Vice President’s digitization strategy had altered the economy.
To her, the Vice President is a visionary leader with the ability to deliver greater leadership and better economic management.
She went on to say that President Akufo-Addo has indicated a wish to give power to another NPP president so that he can continue his legacy and that there is no one better to do so than Dr. Bawumia.
Meanwhile, she has disputed assertions that Dr. Bawumia has stopped speaking on the economy.
She stressed that all the initiatives led by Dr. Bawumia are economy-related; hence, those who say he has stopped talking about the economy are only engaging in propaganda.
