Nana Asibey, Socatoa Swindon chapter chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and campaign team member for Kenndy Agyapong in the UK, has declared that the Assin Central MP will be declared the winner of the primary with 61 per cent.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio 92.4 FM in the UK and Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM in Ghana, he opined that, per the polls the team has done, Kennedy Agyapong will win the race.
According to him, contrary to claims that the race will go into a runoff, it will end in the first round with Kennedy Agyapong declared the winner.
He stressed that the polls that had put Dr. Bawumia ahead of Kennedy Agyapong were not genuine.
He described such polls as fake and stressed that Kennedy would win the race.
He added that Kennedy Agyapong has run an issue-based campaign with policies that Ghanaians appreciate and will beat John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West constituency, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, says Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will beat Kennedy Ohene Agyapong by not less than 80 per cent
A total of 203,439 delegates are expected to cast their ballots in all the 276 constituencies across the country.
The MP, who is also the Minister of Communications, says Kennedy Agyapong will see his smoothness level at the close of the polls.
She said the delegates are fully behind the candidature of Vice President Bawumia to lead the party in the 2024 presidential election against the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“I know what the kingmakers in this constituency have told me,” she said, supporting her claims, adding that “Bawumia will secure nothing less than 80 per cent of the votes.”
