Two students from the Ada Senior High School (SHS) in the Greater Accra region drowned.
The incident happened on November 5, 2023.
The students, who have yet to be identified, are believed to be between the ages of 16 and 18.
The students were accused of leaving school without permission to swim in the nearby Volta River.
Attempts by some residents to rescue them were futile.
Their bodies have since been deposited at the district government district hospital.
