Martin Kwaku Ayisi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, has stated that the commission will not grant any mineral rights to any company to mine in the Kakum National Park.
The Minerals Commission CEO announced in a statement that the Commission had rejected High Street Mining Company Limited’s application to mine in the Kakum National Park in the Central Region.
Mr Ayisi also stated that the application had been removed from the online mining cadastre by the commission.
As a result, he assured all Ghanaians that the commission would not degrade the park.
