Chief of Goaso, Nana Kwasi Bosompra, has shockingly revealed that the gods in the area have deserted them due to the poor and dirty nature of their roads.

The traditional ruler shed tears while speaking about the poor nature of roads in the Ahafo Region.

“Recently, when President Akufo-Addo came here, I told him that our gods had deserted me due to the dusty nature of our roads.” This is a critical situation. You advise us not to speak when we say the truth.”

He lamented that although the main road linking Mim to the township has been awarded on contract, construction has long been abandoned.

He also lamented that he had developed a health condition due to the dusty nature of their roads.

“I have developed a health condition as a result of the dusty nature of the road.” What is our crime? “What went wrong, Ahafo Region?” In tears, he inquired.

“The NDC awarded Kofi Job the road in front of the palace, and he mobilised his equipment to the site.” However, after the Nana Akufo-Addo government took office, all contractors on Ahafo Roads were promptly suspended.”

He made the remarks when former President John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy call on him as part of his “Building Ghana Tour” in the Ahafo Region.

The NPP administration halted civil works on the Bediako to Kasapii road, which had been waiting for asphalt overlay, and also affected the contractor on the Gambia Number One to Dormaa road.

“They were forced to resume work after many years of auditing.” But all their efforts have gone to waste,” Nana Kwasi Bosompra stated.

“The Ahafo Region has always voted for the New Patriotic Party,” he continued, “but the party has yet to turn its attention to the area’s development needs.” The NDC holds only two of the Region’s six legislative seats.”
