Former Ghana international Dan Quaye has predicted the outcome of the upcoming Ghana Premier League Super Cup between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
Hearts of Oak will play their Ghana Premier League home game against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, December 10, 2023, due to the decision of the National Sports Authority to hand over the Accra Sports Stadium for musical concerts.
The Phobians are three points behind the Porcupine Warriors on the Ghana Premier League table after 13 games, but Dan Quaye believes Kotoko’s inability to beat Hearts of Oak when they are down will play in their favour.
The former Hearts of Oak defender predicted victory for the Phobians despite going to play on the turf of their rivals because of the decision of the National Sports Stadium.
“I will say that Hearts of Oak will win this game even though they are not really in a good place at the moment. There wouldn’t be pressure on the players, but they will play in Kumasi, so that will ease the pressure a little bit,” he said on Rainbow Radio Accra.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak’s last visit to Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw in the 2022–2023 Ghana Premier League.
