Fomena Nursing and Midwifery Training college calls for financial support to complete projects

FFOO

Mrs. Linda Rockson Banful Mante, the principal of the Fomena Nursing and Midwifery Training College in Adansi North Constituency, has called on well-to-do individuals to come to the aid of the institution financially.

She urged traditional chiefs, Members of Parliament, District Chief Executives, old students, NGOs, and philanthropists to help the college realise its dream of becoming the first nursing university in the area.

The principal appealed when a durbar was organised to solicit funds to start the process of becoming a university.“We are calling on all Ghanaians, rich and poor, to come and support us financially to complete our buildings to get the accreditation to become a university.

And that is why we have gathered here before; even the hospital here will greatly benefit if our status is lifted to become a university,” she said on Rainbow Radio Accra.

The Adansihene Opagyakotwere Bonsrab Afriyie 11 pledged to support the course and asked all to support him in making the dream a reality.

“We won’t sit there for our school to deteriorate, and we need help making the change. The school helps all of us, not just the people in the Adansi Area, so we should all come on board and help. I have accepted the responsibility and will help raise the funds.”
