Dr. Clement Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South, has inquired when Ghana will receive its oyster card, as promised by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Dr. Bawumia said at a conference at the Church of Pentecost Ghana on Wednesday, April 3, 2023, that preparations were ongoing to digitalize the country’s public and private transport sectors by the end of the year.
“There’s more actually coming. We are adding everybody. Trotros will come later on, VIP buses, Ayalolo, Metro Mass. The whole public sector is going to go and private sector transport is going to go on what we call a tap-and-go system.
“When you go to England, they have the Oyster card that you travel with. Ghana is also going to have an Oyster card before the end of this year.”
In response, Dr. Apaak inquired of the second gentleman of the land when this promise would be fulfilled.
He tweeted on X that Ghanaians should brace themselves for more lies from the Vice President in 2024.
As a result, he has warned Ghanaians to remain vigilant and on the lookout for these lies.
He stated that the year ends today, December 31, 2023, and that he wishes to know when the Oyster card would be available so that Ghanaians can travel with it as promised.
“Today is 31st December 2023. Do you have an Oyster card to travel with as they do in England as promised by Dr. Bawumia? It has been revealed to me that he will tell more lies in 2024, be warned. This is my prophecy!”
