A 39-year-old man has committed suicide by hanging himself at Offinso Agyeimpra at the Offinso Municipal in the Ashanti Region.
The young man, identified as Osei Kwabena, who was a mason by profession, was reportedly found dead by hanging by neighbours.
An eyewitness reported that he used a sponge to hang out himself, but there was no chair or table, which he probably used to hang himself, making the residents raise questions on whether it was a murder or a suicide.
The death of Osei Kwabena comes a day after he was diagnosed with typhoid fever when he was taken to the hospital by his father, Uncle Mensah, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
The police officer, Offinso Agyeimpra, has yet to comment on the incident as they begin investigations to determine whether it was a suicide or whether the deceased was murdered.
