A journalist has been reportedly assaulted by macho men allegedly to be the bodyguards of Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson, in Cape Coast.
The journalist identified David Kobbina as working as a reporter during the NPP Parliamentary vetting at the Central Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) in Cape Coast when he was attacked by ‘Hawa Koomson’s men.
David Kobina told his colleague reporters that he was attacked while charging his phone under a shed by some thugs who were in Mavis Hawa Koomson’s T-shirt at the event.
He said the thugs accused him of insulting and disrespecting the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture while speaking as a panel on a show that was aired on United Television.
David pleaded that it was a mistaken identification but told his colleagues at the scene that the angry thugs assaulted him even though he produced evidence that he works for Cape FM.
Meanwhile, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Mavis Hawa Koomson has yet to comment on the accusation, and Rainbow Radio Accra will update you on this issue as and when it comes.
