The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released a comprehensive 24-page document which is aimed at maintaining discipline in our secondary schools.
The document outlines standards for student behaviour in Senior High Schools.
According to the GES, the document seeks to foster discipline and create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning, as outlined in its recently released code of conduct.
According to the document, offenders who commit sexual offences, physical and psychological abuse, acts of causing injury, cultism, gang affiliations, and the possession and use of weapons would be ejected.
Students may face sanctions ranging from counselling sessions to dismissal, depending on the seriousness of the violation.
