Madam Nyankopa Daniels, Founder and Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, has taken aim at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), claiming that while they are in power, they live on creating, looting, and sharing.
Madam Daniels noted that the number of scandals, corruption, and misappropriation during this administration is frightening, robbing Ghanaians of development and progress.
Reacting to Kennedy Agyapong’s charges against Housing Minister Asenso Boakye, he stated that they are serious and should be probed.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM, she indicated that the alleged sale of the residence of the former judge is a serious matter.
“What are our politicians looking for? Take a look at the current economic situation and how our politicians are indulging in various forms of corruption and grabbing with both hands. They are taking our land and other resources. If that’s the case, they should likewise let us grab.
Political parties would always gain, especially during the NPP, which saw record levels of looting. What are you looking for, as young politicians? You have the opportunity to serve, yet you take everything for yourselves.
Madam Daniels stated that various firms are struggling, unemployed youth are complaining, and the government is constantly pushing us to tighten our belts. While we tighten our belts, our leaders are grabbing for themselves and their families.
When we speak, they attempt to gag or harm us. Some party supporters are also claiming that their businesses have collapsed and that the NPP government has not provided them with any fair benefits.”
