The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national leadership has postponed the parliamentary primary in the Akuapem South constituency.
The party made the decision in response to a petition filed by Frank Aidoo, Municipal Chief Executive for Akuapem South.
Mr. Aidoo petitioned the party to allow him to contest the party’s parliamentary primary on Saturday, January 27, 2024, after the incumbent MP, O.B Amoah, withdrew from the race.
A statement issued and signed by the general secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, indicated that the postponement is to allow the leadership to address the concerns voiced, and he asked supporters to cooperate.
