The elected parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Amasaman, Yahya Kassim Atta, has asked constituents to trust him to deliver on all the promises he has outlined for them.
The estate developer and media owner said he is a man of his word, and whatever promise he has outlined for the people will be delivered if he is elected as MP in the 2024 parliamentary election.
Kass, as he is affectionately called, said he has engaged with the chiefs, people, and other stakeholders of the constituency, and they have assured him of their support.
He has pledged to uphold the trust of the people, ensuring they are not disappointed.
“It is a vow or guarantee that I would fulfil the pledges I have made to the people. If I cannot keep these promises, I will not make them.
When asked what drives him and his key policies for the constituency, he mentioned the construction of roads.
“The major thing we are lacking in the constituency is access to good roads. Our roads are in a terrible state. As a country, our major concerns are about our poor roads. But the roads in Amasaman are the worst. We have the worst roads in the country. So what I have decided to do is that I will use my machines to help address these challenges. I am a contractor, and so I have decided to take the step of helping address the situation.
I have decided to embark on a reshaping initiative in collaboration with urban roads and other stakeholders. I will not wait for the government but will take the step and do the reshaping. The repair of the roads is my first target. When the roads are redone, it will help everyone, whether they are NDC or NPP, he said on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM.
