The meeting, held at the Jubilee House’s banquet hall in Accra, was heavily guarded and convened by President Nana Akufo-Addo.

On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei Owusu led a group of other MPs to deny rumours that the Majority Caucus was considering a change in leadership.

General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua, is expected to formally announce these changes within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin will take over as the Majority Leader.
