A former deputy general secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), lawyer Obiri Boahen, has expressed strong optimism about a victory for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 presidential election.
According to Lawyer Boahen, there was every indication that the NPP would win, and Dr. Bawumi would be declared the lawfully elected president in 2025.
He described Dr. Bawumia as a man of integrity, competence, diligence, and trustworthiness.
He said in an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio (87.5 FM) that the man will deliver.
He affirmed the assertion that Dr. Bawumia was its ‘driver’s mate’ and wielded limited power under the Nana Addo-led administration.
However, if he is elected president, he will be his own man and wield enough power to deliver on his vision and promises to help transform this country.
He said the party will put in all its efforts to campaign massively for the presidential candidate, so he will help the party secure victory.
“When you look into the crystal ball, Dr. Bawumia will deliver if he is elected. He will deliver on his promises and be an effective president. He will be our next president, and that is the most important thing.”
