The vetting of newly appointed ministers by President Akufo-Addo will begin today, Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Parliament’s Appointments Committee, is expected to start the vetting today and those expected to appear before the committee are Andrew Egyapa Mercer, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture; Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources; Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation, and Rural Development.
The rest are Ophelia Mensah Hayford, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation; and Darkoa Newman, Minister-designate for the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
The vetting is elected to end on March 12, 2024.
