Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has asked persons calling for the release of a load-shedding timetable by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to publish their own timetable.
He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the inauguration of the NPP campaign team in the Ashanti Region.
According to him to him, those who are advocating for a laod shedding timetable should prepare one themselves if they deem it necessary.
Several Ghanaians have asked for a laod shedding timetable following the recent power challenges in the country.
The Electricity Company of Ghana has maintained that there was no need for a timetable since there was no dumsor as speculated by critics.
But the Minister says it needless to release a timetable after the ECG explained that there is no such plan in place.
“Ask those who want it to bring it if there is. I haven’t seen any timetable. The ECG says that there’s no timetable coming, why do you want to bring a timetable, for what purpose? Why would somebody wake up and wish evil and wish bad for the country? When it is not planned, you can’t tell the person.”
