Dr. Clement Apaak, the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, has opined that the ruling New Patriotic Party deserves the severest punishment for deceiving Ghanaians.
The MP says it has turned out to be a scam the pledge by the President to protect the public purse.
He recounted how President Akufo-Addo advised his appointees to look elsewhere if their sole interest was to amass wealth for themselves.
Dr. Apaak noted that the president went around trumping this statement.
However, they have done the opposite and have amassed so much wealth for themselves, and because of that, the lawmaker wants Ghanaians to kick them out in the December general elections.
It would be recounted that President Akufo-Addo reiterated his words with regards to those who may have it somewhere in their minds to amass government wealth in their private coffers during his administration.
He asked them to look elsewhere because he would not tolerate that.
According to him, he was not against anyone who wants to make money, but he was against anyone who wants to acquire that under his government, adding that if anyone has such a motive, they better go to the private sector.
“I’ve said it, and I’ll repeat it again: those who are coming into this administration thinking that there’s an avenue for making a lot of money are going to be disappointed.They better go to the private sector; that is where people make money, not in government.”
Dr. Apaak, recounting this, stated that the president has not only failed at this pledge, but he and his appointees have gone beyond to amass wealth for themselves at the expense of the poor.
He suggested to the Ghanaian voter to vote out the NPP because a vote for Dr. Bawumia is a vote that will make the NPP continue to steal from the state.
He charged Ghanaians to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama since he is incorruptible and will manage the country better.
“It was all a scam. The brazing rape of the public purse, by the Akufo-Addo/ Bawumia government, and NPP officials must attract the severest punishment from the Ghanaian electorate. A vote for Bawumia and the NPP is a vote for them to continue siphoning public funds into private coffers. Vote for John Dramani and the NDC to ensure that this corrupt Akufo-Addo/Bawumia NPP government is held to account.”
