The police have arrested the wife of a National Democratic Congress branch youth organiser in the Asante Mampong Constituency on suspicion of stabbing him to death.
The deceased, Osei Akoto, was a teacher.
He reportedly died of stab wounds upon arrival at the hospital after his partner allegedly stabbed him during a heated dispute.
It has emerged that Akoto, who was believed to be in his forties, quarrelled with the wife several times, with a similar altercation occurring on Thursday night, leading to the fatal stabbing.
The wife, whose name was only given as Abigail, is currently in police custody to aid in the investigation.
Crime officers are currently conducting a thorough examination of the crime scene.
The deceased left behind three children.
The body has been taken to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
