Rainbow Radio has been nominated in five different categories at the 2024 edition of the Foklex Media Awards.
Since its inception, the scheme has recognised and celebrated the achievements of television and radio personalities.
Rainbow Radio’s News Editor, Afia Adjei Sikapa, got nominated in the Newscaster of the Year Category.
Sports presenter Fantastic K G, originally known as Andrews Kwabena Gyasi, has been nominated in the Foreign Sports Presenter of the Year Category.
Winter Frank Osei Owusu, the Sports Editor, has also been nominated in the Sports Host of the Year Category, while Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, a newscaster has been nominated in the Male Newscaster Category.
Host of the Away Bus Show, Dannyfii Abrantie, got nominated in the ‘Drive Time Host’ category.
Sokoohemaa Kukua was nominated for the mid-morning show host of the year category.
The ceremony has been scheduled to be organised on May 11, 2024, at the National Theatre.
The Awards ceremony is an annual event to recognise and celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of television and radio journalists and presenters across the 16 regions of Ghana.
It’s a regional base award where journalists within every region compete among themselves. We validate them through peer review and monitoring. Taking time to reflect on the exceptional achievements of journalists is important to our nation.
