Do not to allow ypurselves to be manipulated by politicians ahead of the 2024 general elections, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), has advised journalists.
He was speaking at the launch of the 30th Anniversary of Radio Universe.
He underscored the need for journalists to be be committed to the ethical standards of the profession.
He further called on them to ensure that they remain credible, truthful in their reportage.
“We must not allow ourselves to be misused by politically partisan interest to undermine our sense of professionalism,” Mr Boadu-Ayeboafoh said.
Mr. Boadu-Ayeboafoh spoke on Ghana’s media challenges, touching on the lack of specific laws for electronic media regulation, and urged for proactive measures to ensure transparency, accountability, and professionalism.
