Joseph Addo, the driver of President Akufo-Addo, has been elected as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for La Dadekotopon.
He garnered 664 votes to defeat his main challenger, Solomon Kotey Niikio, who polled 555.
The primary was held today, Saturday, April 27, 2024, after the elected parliamentary candidate, Dr. Gerald Joseph Tetteh, resigned for personal reasons.
The elected candidate has served as President Akufo-Addo’s driver for over 20 years.
Prior to the election, the candidate donated an office complex situated on the Ako Adjei Road to the NPP.
The seat is currently being occupied by the NDC’s Rita Naa Odoley Sowah.
