The founder of Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa), Ghana’s premier total communications agency, Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah, has thanked all those who have nominated and supported her bid to be elected as the next President of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana (IPR-Ghana).
According to the multi-award-winning communication specialist, who became the first Ghanaian to serve on the board of the International Public Relations Association, she is humbled and ready to serve.
She intends to serve with a vision to position the IPR-Ghana as a strong community of professionals with an enduring and impactful voice nationally, continentally, and globally.
In 2020, Madam Cobbah was made a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana at the 8th National PR and Communications Excellence Awards.
She was among eight professionals on whom a fellowship was conferred for their contributions to the PR industry in Ghana at the awards ceremony held on February 29, 2020, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
In 2021, she was voted onto the board of the globally respected International Public Relations Association to serve a two-year term.
This came after her previous term as a co-opted member of the board between 2019 and 2020.
She has also been a judge on the association’s globally acclaimed Golden World Awards since 2015.
About Esther Cobbah
Esther is the Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd (Stratcomm Africa). An old girl of Wesley Girls High School, Cape Coast, Esther obtained her first degree at the University of Ghana, Legon, and further earned graduate degrees in Communications from the School of Communications Studies, the University of Ghana and Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, U.S.A.
Esther has extensive experience working with public and private sector organisations as well as communities and individuals in Ghana and beyond.
She has a keen understanding of the value of effective communication processes for national development, organizational growth and individual livelihood enhancement and she is constantly exploring effective communications strategies to promote innovation and social behavior change. She has won numerous local and international awards for her work in business and the communication industry.
Esther is also founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd (Stratcomm Africa), a communication and reputation management agency based in Ghana, which has served over 150 local and international clients. Stratcomm Africa specialises in evolving and implementing communication strategies for companies, individuals, public, private, local and international organisations.
At the 2016 IPRA Golden Globe Awards for PR Excellence, Stratcomm was awarded the IPRA United Nations Award for Public Relations and Sustainable Development.
