The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has revealed that the power outages experienced in some parts of Accra were due to the flooding of seven substations after the rains on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
The power distributor in a press release issued on Thursday, May 2, 2024, said the substations included Burma Camp L, Station H -Dzorwulu, Gbawe, and four others.
These substations got flooded after the heavy downpour and that was what caused the outages in the affected areas.
