A 10-year-old girl is currently battling to survive after a tipper truck with registration number GM 2312-21 ran over her at Mankessim.
According to eyewitness accounts, the minor who was hawking mangoes at the time of the incident was crossing to the other side of the road.
She has been identified as Hawa and is currently in a critical condition.
The tipper truck ran over her, leaving her with several injuries, the eyewitnesses claimed.
The eyewitnesses also expressed fear and panic, as the extent of the injury may lead to the death of the young lady.
They have also appealed to authorities to provide speed ramps to avert road crashes in the area.
Information confirms that the victim has been transferred to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital as the MTTD department of the Ghana Police Service personnel deployed at the scene has towed the vehicle to Mankessim-Jedu Police Station pending investigation.
