Rainbow Radio, which began operations in 2003, has extended its transmission to include Milton Keynes via Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) in London.
Barely a week after starting its test transmission, lovers of the station have welcomed the news and expressed their excitement.
Management of the station assured listeners, particularly the Ghanaian community, that it remains committed to organising events to promote community cohesion, as it has been doing in the past.
As part of its vision, the management of the station promised to continue to deliver high-quality content to its online and mobile listeners through its own developed apps and smart speakers (Google Hub and Alexa), while maintaining the usual vibrant online presence as well as social media.
Listeners in Melton Keynes will enjoy content from news, entertainment, sports, and music based on well-researched, balanced, and human-interest stories that highlight Ghanaian and African values.

Rainbow Radio is the premier licensed Ghanaian/West African commercial radio.
It has a diverse listenership, which is estimated to be in excess of several 1000s people per week, with 90% of these being West Africans, mostly from Ghana.
The station will also continue to promote its programmes to the diverse West African cultures, and with the addition of DAB broadcasting in Milton Keynes, it will allow both the young and old to interact, engage, and be updated on happenings both home and abroad.
This successful expansion comes two years after the station expanded its platform presence to 92.4 FM in London.
The UK’s Office of Communications, the government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the United Kingdom’s broadcasting, telecommunications, and postal industries granted a license to a station to broadcast to the Ghanaian/African community in London on FM 92.4FM two years ago.
Rainbow Radio debuted on Sky and on DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) in July 2005.
