The Director-General of the Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, has embarked on a media vaccination monitoring tour in the Ga East Municipality.
The exercise is to evaluate the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination and address related health concerns.

The tour was inspired by Child Health Promotion Week, which was launched a few weeks ago.
During the tour, Dr. Kuma-Aboagye interacted with healthcare workers, nursing mothers, and members of the communities visited.

He lauded the efforts of the health staff and encouraged people to get vaccinated while assuring them of the vaccines’ safety.
He also emphasised the importance of nursing mothers paying attention to details in their Maternal and Child Health Record Books to improve their children’s health.

The Director-General was accompanied by the Director of Public Health Division, the Director of Family Health Division, the Programmeme Manager of the Expanded Programmeme on Immunisation, the Greater Accra Regional Health Director, a WHO Surveillance Officer, and the Ga East District Director.
The team visited various places, including the Abokobi Health Centre, Agbogba Pentecost Church Outreach Site, and the Taifa Burkina Community Vaccination Centre.
