Ghanaian musician Keche Joshua, a part of the group Keche, claims he doesn’t show his wife on social media because she is uncomfortable being in the spotlight.
The musician, who has been married for a long time, has managed to keep his wife out of the spotlight for reasons best known to him.
Speaking on the issue, he said the wife is very private and is not willing to be all over social media.
He told host Sokoohemaa Kukua on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM that he is happy about this because the creative space is risky, and when you project what you love too much on social media, it could easily collapse.
He said if you want to cherish and preserve what you love for a very long time, you have to take it away from social media.
He asserted that several creative people who were married and displayed their lives on social media faced challenges, and because of that, he has taken the decision to stay away from them.
“My wife is a very private person. She is shy around the media, so she does not want to be in the media or on social media. The creative space is risky, especially when you’re projecting what you love on social media. My wife has been my rock and backbone, and so I have to protect her at all costs.
If you cherish and love something, take it off social media. It is not healthy. Wherever you love, take it off social media, and it will help you,” he said.
He also advised young people who are preparing to marry to take time off social media if they cherish what they have and want it to last a long .
He said people talk too much and will say anything to destroy you; hence, “don’t project too much of what you do to people, especially on social media. It is unhealthy. It will also save you a lot of trouble.”
