A man believed to be in his 60s has been found dead in a galamsey pit at Akyem Oda Asomdwe in the Eastern Region.g
He has been identified as Kujo Dzijro.
Details emerging indicate that he was a security guard at a galamsey sitting at Akyem Oda Asomdwe and was on duty.
Reporting from the area on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Akuapem Broda said it remains unclear as to what led to the death of the main character.
Some residents in the area said the man came to work and looked to healthy hence, they find it strange that he was found dead in the put.
The Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
