The Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union has called off its strike action.
Members of the union had declared a sit-down strike over poor conditions of service.
The indefinite sit-down strike started on Tuesday over their demand for improved conditions of service, especially in respect of remuneration.
The drivers had claimed that a framework that had been worked on since November and contained agreed measures aimed at enhancing their working conditions had not been implemented.
The Union said the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and the sector ministry have refused to implement the policy.
However, after meeting with all stakeholders, the tanker drivers issued a communiqué to call off the sit-down strike.
The communiqué indicated that the framework for their remuneration has been adopted, and the implementation of the framework is expected to start by the end of June 2024.
