The Ghana Police Service has intensified investigations into the murder of two people in the Eastern Region town of Maame Krobo, near Donkorkrom.
The Service has done this by deploying a Specialized Investigative Team to assist the Eastern North Regional Police Command.
The Specialized Investigative Team, which has been deployed from the Police Headquarters, includes crime scene experts, homicide investigators, and undercover officers.
Two people were discovered murdered and their heads severed in the area, a situation that left residents in fear and panic.
The two were said to be normadic herdsmen.
According to the Police, they are in regular contact with the families of the victims and are working closely with community leaders to find an acceptable and quick solution to this tragic situation.
It asked residents in the area to remain calm as an investigation was underway to apprehend the culprits.
“We would like to urge the community to remain calm and continue to support the Police as we work towards the maintenance of peace, security, law and order.
The Police are confident the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be found and brought to face justice.”
