Rainbow Radio Listeners Fun Club, a club of loyal listeners of the International Radio Station, Rainbow Radio, has donated educational materials to Asikesu Roman Junior High School and Asuaba Presbyterian Primary School, all in the Eastern Region.
The Fun Club donated over 600 branded exercise books, pencils, erasers, socks, toilet rolls, detergents, footballs, and other teaching and learning materials to both schools.

At the Asikesu Roman Junior School, the Fun Club also donated two marker boards since the one the school had was in a deplorable state.

The donation exercise, which was meant to be a simple exercise, brought joy and excitement to the chiefs and people in the area, following which a mini durbar was held by the chiefs and people in honour of the Fun Club.

According to the chiefs, opinion leaders, and management of the two schools, this was the first time they have received such a donation.

The chief of the area, Nana Baffour Manley, and his elders, who were in attendance, extended their gratitude to the fun club for extending their kindness to the two schools.
He described the exercise as unprecedented, stressing that the donation will go a long way in supporting pupils and students in the two schools.

He prayed for the group and asked that the members would be blessed so they would keep making more of these donations to support the needy.
Mr. George Asare, the chairman of the club, who is popularly known as Obaapa Papa, also expressed shock since they were not expecting a huge crowd of chiefs, parents, and residents to support them.

He revealed that before they decided to give the exercise books to the schools, they conducted a background check and found out that several of the students in the schools had a challenge buying basic educational materials to support their education.

He extended gratitude to those who supported the exercise, especially members of the Fun Club and the radio station.

The students and pupils who also benefited from the donation expressed their gratitude to the Fun Club.
