A founding member of the New Jersey branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the United States of America has slammed President Akufo-Addo, describing his performance as president as poor.
Nana Atta Boamah says President Akufo-Addo, who promised to govern with accountability, transparency, and integrity, has failed his party and the people of Ghana.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 30th anniversary celebration of the branch, he lamented that the Akyems have hijacked the party.
He opined that the party currently lacks leadership, adding that Nana Addo has failed the NPP. Why? He came in and swore to us that he would use discipline and accountability; he failed.
“Look at what is going on in Ghana. The party doesn’t belong to Akyem people. How many Akyem people in Ghana are registered to vote?”
He issued a warning to the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the leadership of the party officials to tread cautiously.
He specifically mentioned Presidential Advisor Yaw Osafo Marfo and the others, who he said have hijacked the party, to sit back and allow the party to function properly.
