Woman struck down by a hit-and-run vehicle dies when two more vehicles run over her

A woman believed to be in her 40s has reportedly lost her life in a hit-and-run.

The unfortunate incident occurred in Awutu Breku in the Central Region on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Reporting from the scene, Rainbow Radio’s Oheneba Ademah said the woman was reportedly hit by a sprinter bus, which sped off right after knocking her down.

Unfortunately, two additional salon cars run over her, causing a thudding sound after they pass over her head.

The reporter disclosed that the incident drew several people to the scene.

The body of the deceased, he said, was damaged beyond recognition as some of her internal organs splashed out of her body.

Her left hand was also cut off, and she was lying on the street.

“The only thing that was not damaged were her breasts, but the other parts of her body were damaged and torn into pieces,” he added.

A bag containing the mobile phone, Bible, and other items of the victim was found.

Efforts were made to call some of the contact details on the phone if the woman was there, but all those who were called claimed they did know the woman.

Meanwhile, some are also rumoured to believe that the woman may have been killed at another location and the body dumped on the street before the cars ran over her.

They made the claim because the victim’s the victim’s pair shoes or slippers were found at the scene.

Efforts are currently underway for the mortal remains of the deceased to be removed from the scene.
