Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has broken his silence over calls for him to either resign or be sacked over alleged fabrication of evidence and manipulation of the judiciary in the ongoing ambulance trial.
The minister, responding to the issue for the first time, was optimistic that the Lord would see him through his travail.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for his removal as minister and prosecution.
The party had also asked the General Legal Council to initiate disciplinary proceedings against him since he has dragged the name of the legal profession into disrepute.
The call was made following allegations by Richard Jakpa, the third accused person, that the Minister had on several occasions asked him to implicate Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who is the first accused in the matter.
Speaking to the media, Godfred Yeboah Dame was hopeful that he would overcome any traps set for him.
“All I can say is that the Lord does not delight in the pleasure of the wicked. Even though they have laid traps for me, I will flee from them. And righteousness will always prevail over evil,” he added.
