Political analyst Mr. Emmanuel Alex Nti has commended the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the campaign team it has officially announced.
He suggested that the team has the potential to work effectively to secure victory for the umbrella family in the upcoming December 7 presidential and parliamenatry elections.
He told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM that the squad is made up of astute and qualified politicians who understand political campaigns.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially announced its national campaign team for the upcoming 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The team was announced after thorough consultations by the Functional Executive Committee, which finalised the team at their meeting on June 18, 2024.
The campaign team includes General Secretary Fifi Kwetey, General Secretary and Campaign Coordinator; Dr. Joseph Yammin, National Organiser and Deputy Campaign Coordinator (Regional Campaigns); Richard Quashiga, Deputy Campaign Coordinator (Parliamentary Campaigns); Chief Hamilton Nixon Biney, Deputy Campaign Coordinator (Special Operations); and Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer.
The rest are George Opare Addo, National Youth Organiser; Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei, National Women’s Organiser; Alhaji Cole Younger, National Zongo Caucus Coordinator; Prof. Joshua Alabi, Head of the Flagbearer’s Campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, spokesperson for the Flagbearer’s Campaign, Beatrice Annan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Flagbearer’s Campaign, Alex Segbefia, head of Running Mate’s campaign, James Agyenim Boateng, Spokesperson for Running Mate’s Campaignand Eric Adjei, Deputy Spokesperson for the Running Mate’s Campaign.
Mr. Emmanuel Alex Nti, commenting on the names, said, “With the list in circulation, I will state that the NDC has selected competent personalities for the campaign. I have an understanding of the campaign competencies of these individuals. Someone like Joseph Yasmin is someone with a lot of political experience. His exploits in Kumasi are evident for all to see. His ability to come from the region and defeat former National Organiser Mr. Akamba shows that he wields enough experience. He will deploy his political experience from Kumasi. His selection is the best so far.
Fifi Kwetey is also an experienced politician. His record as propaganda secretary through his days as an MP and now as General Secretary is a good choice. Richard Quashiga, Deputy Campaign Coordinator (Parliamentary Campaigns), is another effective politician. He has a track record. He will unite the political front and the party towards victory in 2024. The appointment is in the right direction and is the best of the best going into the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile, he has advised the party to deploy technology and scientific research in order to make their quest for victory easier.
He said the party should avoid making assumptions and rather invest in technology and research if it is serious about winning the elections.
