A Member of Parliament for Builsa South has reacted to former President John Dramani Mahama’s visit to his former room at the University of Ghana Commonwealth Hall.
The former President was at the Ayawaso West Wugon Constituency for a working visit to the constituency.
He used the opportunity to visit his room while at the University of Ghana as an undergraduate.
The videos shared on social media saw the students at Vandal City chanting campaign songs of the former president.
Reacting to this, Dr. Apaak said the vandals were proud of the exploits of Mr. Mahama and described him as an illustrious mate.
He said that just like the motto of the hall, ‘Truth Stands’, Mr. Mahama has remained truthful, unlike his opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President.
He asserted that being truthful, honest, and sincere is the trademark of every Vandal, and Mr. Mahama has all these traits.
In a post on X formerly Twitter the MP wrote “We are proud of our most illustrious and celebrated Vmate. The motto of our hall is Truth Stands. Is it any suprise that, unlike some other Flagbearer, JDM upholds the truth? Once a Vandal, always a Vandal. Being truthful, honest, and sincere is the trade mark of Vandals”.
The former President was accompanied by John Dumelo who is the parliamentary candidate for the 2024 elections for the NDC and other party executives.
