Dr. Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South, described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a gang of greedy and selfish politicians whose primary goal is to gain political power and acquire fortune for themselves and their associates.
As a trained anthropologist, the former lecturer said there are two types of people in the world, and the type A of these people, to whom I do not belong, are the ones who seek political power, and when they obtain the power, you begin to see the true motive behind their quest for political power.
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement in Fumbisi in the Upper East Region as part of former President John Dramani Mahama’s campaign tour, he said these types of politicians grab what belongs to the people while in office.
“Type A uses the political power given them by the people to capture what belongs to the people. In fact, they are so greedy to the extent that if those who gave them power become good, they will gobble up the people.”
The NDC, according to the MP, are Type B politicians who aim to gain political power by implementing policies that will positively impact the lives of the people.
Dr. Apaak said Mr. Mahama, as leader of the NDC, is selfless, humble, dedicated, experienced, and ready to sacrifice everything for the benefit of those who will give him the mandate to become their elected president.
He has therefore advised Ghanaians to choose Mr. Mahama since he represents hope and opportunities for all.
“There is Type B, and that is the group that seeks political power, and when they get the political power, they work assiduously, genuinely, honestly, as hard as they can, and they sacrifice all that they have to the benefits of the people that gave them the mandate.
That is why we have a choice to make between Type A and Type B. John Dramani Mahama is the leader of the NDC (Type B), and the NDC is known as the party that will do everything for the benefit of the people.
This is the man who will be the panacea to the mirage of challenges we face today. John Dramani Mahama is the man who is humble, the man who is truthful, honest, and willing to sacrifice day and night for our collective good,” he added.
