Four people have been killed following tension in Zogbei, Mion district, which occurred on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
The incident follows a long-standing land dispute between the Dagombas and Konkombas that escalated into violence, resulting in gunshots, casualties, and fatalities.
Reporting from the area, Rainbow Radio’s Prince Kwame Tamakloe said four people were killed and several motorbikes were set ablaze.
He reported on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM that the conflict has disrupted transportation, with road users from Tamale to Yendi and surrounding areas unable to pass through the area.
He said some security officials have been deployed to the area.
He added that the conflict has left the residents in fear and panic.
