The National Youth Organiser of the People’s National Party (PNP) has expressed outrage at claims by the People’s National Convention (PNC) that the PNP was formed out of greed, selfishness, and frustration.

Muniru Mohammed, without mincing words, said the claims made by Deputy National Organiser of the PNC, Mark Ewusi Arkoh, were not only insulting but reckless.

Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, in an interview about a week ago, Mark Ewusi Arkoh claimed that those who left the PNC to form the PNP did so due to greed, selfishness, and disregard for internal party rules.

Under no circumstances will the formation of the PNP undermine the rights of the PNC and its fortunes.

“The PNP was formed by some disgruntled, frustrated, and greedy members of the PNC who left the party. It was because of greed and frustration, and that is my position. It was because of greed that they left.”

He asserted that their breakaway would have no impact on the PNC.

He said the total number of members of the PNP is not more than 14 people.

But Muniru Mohammed took him to the cleaners, describing him as having an unfit personality to lead a political party.

“He (Arkoh) is not even aware of who their various regional offices are, nor does he know their respective leaders for the various regions.”

He told host Kwabena Agyapong that the PNC currently does not have offices in 14 regions because their leaders have joined the PNP.

“As for him, if he does not know where their office locations for the Greater Accra, Volta, Eastern, and Oti regions are, They do not have regional offices in 14 regions at the moment. This has occurred because these offices now belong to the PNP because the offices were established or founded by those who have left and joined the PNP.

Ghanaians should rise and demand that the Electoral Commission revoke the license of the PNC because they are no longer fit to operate as a political party. The PNC is now a pressure group. It is a dead horse. I can give you the office locations of the PNP in the various regions and name our leaders for the various regions. I dare him to name their regional officers, and he will not be able to do so because they don’t have party leaders at the moment in 14 regions. The PNC is no longer relevant. It is now a laughing stock. The party has collapsed.”

Muniru Mohammed said the PNP is a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

He stressed that PNP has offices in Oti, Ashanti, Volta, Savannah, Eastern, Greater Accra, Western,  and other regions.
